We are all Terminal! 4-23-23

WE ARE ALL TERMINAL!

by Larry Heisler, M.A., LMT

If you were to die right this very instant,

what would your eulogy sound like?

Florinda Donner-Grau is one of Carlos Castenanda's teachers.

Castenanda was a very successful author and spiritual teacher in the 20th century. His remarkable books outlined the mystical ways of the shamans he explored and studied with.

In a wonderful interview written by Michael Brennan and published in the Utne Reader, Florinda says,

"Death is your truest friend, and you're most reliable adviser.

If you ever have doubts about the course of your life, you have only to consult your death for proper direction.

Death will never lie to you."

Wouldn't it be cool, if the minister,

at your own funeral could say with total honesty,

that you lived an impeccable life of service, generosity and compassion?

That you, in your life, had done such wonderful, praiseworthy deeds, that inspired the rest of us to become better people.

Finally, that your life improved the quality of our lives and made a powerful difference in our world.

Why couldn't something like this be your eulogy?

Simple, loving, profound!

You know, a life well lived.

The clock is ticking.

It's time to begin a dialogue with yourself.

To push yourself, to become better.

MUCH BETTER...

Sometimes you have to prime the divine pump in yourself to bring out your own best version.

The Purpose of Life,

the Prime Directive on this our beloved planet Earth,

is to grow in every way possible,

physically, mentally emotionally and spiritually and then

to serve, uplift and inspire

wherever you are sent, wherever you may go.
